Okay timeline...

Gotta plan my conference paper this week. Have to at least know what I need to write about and prepare for by the end of this week. Next Sunday, my parents will be here and I will be meeting them in Sydney *Hurray* Gonna take them around and on Tuesday, rent a car and drive down to Canberra. Will stop at Wollongong as well as Kiama to visit the temple and the blowhole on the way. Seeing the blowhole in action will fulfil my previous regret when we went there last December.

Thursday 29th July will be the day I'm officially a graduate. Wonder if they'll announce what honour class each person is but I doubt it. The same afternoon, I'll be attending a prize and award ceremony organised by the Engineering Department. To tell the truth, I want the prize money more than the award :P althought it will be something good to put into my resume.

Two courseworks, possibly in August, with the deadline of the conference paper on 15 August. In the mean time, need to get used to LaTeX for the paper. Geez.. I wish I could have a long vacation. End of the year, definitely, for my brother's wedding. hmm... What should I get for their wedding gifts?
I'm thinking of checking out some candy companies in Sydney or Melbourne to custom-made some candies or sweets for the wedding guests....

Secret SMA experiment, something which I have been working on with my supervisor. Was thinking of writing another paper based on that but probably won't be able to have time to write it. Oh well, it could be a very good demo, maybe i'll use it for another conference then. Might even put some of the results up on my website next time. Basically, it's using Shape Memory Alloy wires as the moving mechanism on a loudspeaker made of plastic-cup. Who would imagine that could be done? Simple idea, just never tried before until now.

People have been telling me how good and lucky it was that my honours project was very interesting, and how it could lead to so many things. I agree with them, but it also greatly depends on the effort and work and sacrifice which I put in to get these results. Also I have a nice supervisor, who also shares my liking of curries. He enjoyed our beef rendang :)
